80 Firefighters Battle Shop and Garage Blaze on Church Lane in Brent

A major fire has broken out at a shop with flats above and adjacent garages on Church Lane in Brent, triggering a large-scale emergency response from the London Fire Brigade.

The fire was first reported at 2:41pm, with over 70 emergency calls made to the Brigade’s Control Office. In response, twelve fire engines and around 80 firefighters have been dispatched from Stanmore, Mill Hill, Willesden, West Hampstead, and surrounding stations.

Multiple Structures Alight

According to initial reports, the fire has affected:

  • A shop on the ground floor
  • Two floors of residential dwellings above
  • A significant part of a loft conversion
  • A range of garages located behind the property

Flames and smoke are visible from across the area as crews continue to battle the blaze.

Cause Unknown

At this time, the cause of the fire is not yet known, and firefighters are expected to remain at the scene throughout the afternoon and into the evening.

Public Safety

There have been no immediate reports of injuries, but residents in the area are advised to avoid Church Lane and allow emergency services clear access to the site.
