Massive Blaze Erupts at Brent Shop with Flats Above
A huge fire has ripped through a shop, flats, and garages on Church Lane in Brent, sparking a massive emergency response from the London Fire Brigade.
Fire Erupts at 2:41pm, 80 Firefighters Deployed
The blaze was first reported just after 2:40pm, triggering over 70 emergency calls to the Brigade’s Control Office. Twelve fire engines and around 80 firefighters raced to the scene from Stanmore, Mill Hill, Willesden, West Hampstead, and nearby stations.
Shop, Flats, Loft, and Garages Engulfed
The fire has engulfed multiple structures, including:
- A shop on the ground floor
- Two floors of the residential flats above
- A large section of a loft conversion
- Several garages located behind the building
Thick smoke and tall flames are visible from across the area as crews struggle to bring the inferno under control.
Cause Unknown, No Injuries Reported
Emergency services have yet to determine the cause of the fire. Firefighters are expected to remain on site well into the evening. Thankfully, no injuries have been reported so far.
