A 26-year-old Buckfastleigh man is behind bars after a string of crimes including carrying a knife in public and smashing a neighbour’s window.

Three Years for Prison Contraband and Local Crimes

Danny Morgan, from Market Close, Buckfastleigh, was sentenced at Exeter Crown Court on Tuesday, 3 March. He received three years for smuggling banned items into prison. On top of that, he was handed five months for carrying an offensive weapon in public.

More Time for Vandalism and Drugs

Morgan also got a month for breaking a neighbour’s window and another month for possessing cannabis, a Class B drug. He faced an additional three months for using threatening and abusive language that caused harassment and alarm, though these sentences run concurrently.

Community Relieved as Offender Locked Up

Police say Morgan’s actions caused serious distress in the local community. Now behind bars, he won’t be a threat for the foreseeable future. Authorities thanked the public for their help in putting this prolific troublemaker away and securing justice for the victims.
