Bungalow Fire in Aylesham Extinguished as Crews Tackle Blaze Spreading to Roof and Shed

Kent Fire and Rescue Service (KFRS) responded to a serious fire at a bungalow in Hawthorn Close, Aylesham, on Thursday, 8 May 2025, after receiving emergency calls at 4:50pm. Three fire engines and a height vehicle attended the scene, where firefighters in breathing apparatus worked to extinguish flames that had spread to both the roof of the property and a nearby shed. Crews used high-pressure hose reel jets to bring the fire under control. Emergency services left the scene by 7:51pm.
