A car fire in Hawkinge, Folkestone, escalated into a larger incident when it spread to a residential garage.
Kent Fire and Rescue Service swiftly responded to the emergency call at Gray Close. Four fire engines, equipped with breathing apparatus and high-pressure hose reel jets, were dispatched to the scene.
Firefighters battled the flames, using their specialized gear to safely extinguish the fire and prevent further damage. As a precautionary measure, several properties in the vicinity were evacuated, ensuring the safety of residents.
Once the situation was under control and the area deemed safe, evacuated residents were allowed to return to their homes.
Thankfully, there were no reported injuries resulting from the incident. However, the cause of the fire remains unknown at this time.
