Special Sergeant Niyi Opaleye, a dedicated member of Kent Police’s Special Constabulary, has been honoured with the King’s Police Medal in the King’s Birthday Honours for his remarkable contribution to policing.

Opaleye, a father of two, has served the dartford/" title="Dartford" target="_blank" rel="noopener" data-wpil-monitor-id="27143">Dartford community voluntarily for 25 years while maintaining full-time employment as a scientist. At 53 years old, he becomes only the second Special to receive this prestigious recognition.
