Police officers were left stunned after stopping a small Citroën Berlingo van packed with an astonishing 1,000 litres of diesel swishing around unsecured in the back.
Unexpected Discovery
The vehicle was pulled over during routine checks, and officers quickly realised the van was being used to transport a large quantity of fuel in highly unsafe conditions.
In a light-hearted statement, police said:
“Apparently, it’s perfectly normal to drive around in a little Berlingo van with 1,000 litres of diesel swishing away in the back… The driver is now helping us out with a few enquiries. Let’s hope he kept the receipts!”
Serious Safety Risks
