A Porthcawl man has been slammed with a hefty jail sentence after cops caught him red-handed with a cocktail of drugs and a deadly weapon in his car.
Connor Wing was nabbed with cocaine, cannabis and ketamine
Connor Wing, 21, was caught driving a silver Vauxhall Corsa smelling heavily of cannabis during a routine patrol. His agitation tipped off officers, who then searched his vehicle.
The search uncovered multiple bags of cannabis, a black bag filled with white powder suspected to be cocaine, and a clear bag containing a white glue-like substance identified as ketamine. Officers also seized scales, empty snap bags used for dealing, and a staggering £2,000 in cash. Here’s the kicker — a large kitchen knife was found tucked away in Wing’s jacket pocket.
Convicted on multiple charges at Cardiff Crown Court
Wing pleaded guilty to possession with intent to supply cocaine, ketamine, and cannabis, plus carrying a knife in a public place. On Monday, March 2, Cardiff Crown Court handed him a prison term of two years and six months.
Police vow to crack down on drug crime
Sergeant Andrew Carver said: “This case highlights our commitment to tackling drug-related crime and ensuring that those who seek to profit from illegal activities face the consequences of their actions. We will continue to work tirelessly to make our communities safer.”
