The London Fire Brigade rushed to a flat fire on Manchester Road at 5.34am on Sunday, March 1.

Maisonette Half-Damaged in Fire

The fire tore through half of a four-room maisonette spread across the second and third floors.

Casualties and Firefighting Efforts

  • One man was hospitalised by the London Ambulance Service.
  • Two others escaped before firefighters arrived.
  • Crews from Millwall, Poplar, Plaistow and nearby stations tackled the blaze.

The fire was under control by 6.48am. The cause remains under investigation.
