Farm In Lichfield Targeted In Pig Theft: Appeal For Information

Staffordshire Police are appealing for information after nine pigs were stolen from a farm in Lichfield in two separate incidents. The first theft occurred on 3 October, when three pigs were reported stolen from a farm on Tamworth Road, Lichfield. Subsequently, between the evening of 9 October and the early morning of 10 October, six more pigs were taken, leaving another six injured at the same farm.

The incident was reported on 11 October, and it is believed that the suspect(s) gained access to the farm by driving up a track before making off with the stolen pigs. In an effort to gather evidence, law enforcement is currently reviewing CCTV footage from the area during both thefts.

Authorities are urging anyone with information or potential evidence, such as CCTV or dashcam footage, to come forward and assist with their inquiries. The public can contact the authorities on 101, quoting incident number 230 from 11 October. Alternatively, individuals can provide information anonymously by calling Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
