Fire crews called to Southampton General hospital amid fears of a blaze

Fire crews from Redbridge, St Marys, Hightown and Eastleigh have rushed to Southampton General Hospital just after 9am this morning due to concerns about a possible fire. Hampshire Fire and Rescue Service stated; “Fortunately it was a false alarm and all our crews are now back at home station.” Hampshire Fire and Rescue Service were very fast on the scene and the response put in place ensured no public were at risk.
