Fire crews from Redbridge, St Marys, Hightown, and Eastleigh scrambled to Southampton General Hospital just after 9am today, answering reports of a possible blaze.

Hampshire Fire and Rescue Service acted fast, arriving on the scene in record time. Thankfully, it was a false alarm with no fire found.
“Fortunately it was a false alarm and all our crews are now back at home station,” said Hampshire Fire and Rescue Service.
No Danger to Patients or Staff
The rapid response ensured no members of the public were at any risk during the incident.
