A fire has broken out in Rectory Park, prompting warnings for people to move away from the area as flames and smoke spread across the field.
Footage shared on social media showed a significant fire burning in the park, with smoke visible across the surrounding area.
Residents posting online urged people nearby to leave the field because of windy conditions and the risk of the flames spreading quickly.
One local wrote: “Get off the field now. It’s windy and it will pick up really quickly.”
Others said they hoped emergency services would bring the fire under control as quickly as possible.
Cause of fire not yet confirmed
There are several unverified claims circulating online about how the fire may have started, including suggestions that a tent may have been involved.
