First bus set to remove services through Paulsgrove after vehicles are stoned and attacked

Over the last three nights first bus services travelling through Paulsgrove have had windows smashed on their vehicles whilst operating along Ludlow Road. Bosses from First made a decision last night to remove the service from Ludlow Road, obviously this was not an easy decision to make as this now affects many customers wishing to catch the services The decision has been based on safety grounds and the obligation to ensure customers travelling on the service and staff remain as safe as possible at all times Each of these incidents happened around 6.30pm each incident has been recorded with the local Police. Pulling the services out of areas is the last thing First want to do. The company are now considering refusing to run a service along the road after 6pm in the evening due to the prolong and pointless attacks. If the company goes ahead with the move on the grounds of customer safety This will put a lot of residents in limbo especially those who rely on public transport. At the time of the evening tea time. There is no need for this behaviour is totally unacceptable and will not be tolerated. CCTV is being trawled through to see if the culprits can be identified. First bus say they are working with local councillors and the police.
