A four-year-old boy has tragically died after being struck by a single-decker bus outside Queen Elizabeth The Queen Mother (QEQM) Hospital in Margate, prompting a major police investigation and public appeal.
The incident occurred shortly after 4pm on Thursday, 7 August 2025, on Ramsgate Road, near the entrance to the hospital’s A&E department. The child, who had reportedly left the hospital on foot, was involved in a collision with a white single-deck bus.

He was immediately taken back into the hospital for emergency treatment but was sadly pronounced dead a short time later. His next of kin have been informed.
