An 87-year-old man has died after being violently robbed in Manor House, North London, prompting the Metropolitan Police to launch a murder investigation.
Police were called to Goodchild Road, near Manor House, at 5:53pm on Tuesday, 7 May 2025, following reports of a robbery involving a pensioner. The victim was rushed to hospital with life-threatening injuries, but tragically died on Thursday, 9 May.
A 59-year-old man has been arrested on suspicion of murder and robbery, as well as for a racially aggravated public order offence and assaulting a police officer. He remains in police custody.
