KSS Air Ambulance Lands on Bexhill Beach
Overview
Details
Emergency services, including the Kent, Surrey & Sussex Air Ambulance, were called to Bexhill beach this afternoon after a serious incident involving a van and a pedestrian.
According to a social media post by Cllr John Lee, the incident began when a local resident fell on the pavement. A passerby in a van stopped and reversed to offer assistance. Tragically, as he did so, an elderly gentleman stepped into the road and was struck by the reversing vehicle.
Cllr Lee described it as “an unfortunate series of events,” leaving the van driver in shock and the pedestrian with a compound fracture to his leg, reportedly in significant pain.
Ambulance crews attended the scene, and police closed the road to allow the KSS Air Ambulance to land nearby.
No further updates on the man’s condition have been released at this time.
