A major section of the A46 remains closed following a serious collision near Witham St Hughs, with police warning the road is likely to be shut until the early hours of the morning.
Motorists are being urged to avoid the area, and diversions are expected to remain in place overnight.
A spokesperson for Lincolnshire Police said:
“This is a very serious collision, and we are working closely with partner agencies to manage the scene and support those involved. We appreciate the public’s patience and cooperation as we carry out our investigation.”
Appeal for Witnesses
Police are appealing to anyone who witnessed the collision or may have dashcam footage from the area around the time of the incident to come forward.
