Detectives from Merseyside Police have charged a 35-year-old man with attempted murder following a hit-and-run incident in Liverpool. At around 6.25pm on Tuesday 14 April, a blue Peugeot van struck a male pedestrian on Jennifer Avenue before fleeing the scene. The van was later found abandoned on Latimer Street in Vauxhall.
Serious Injury Sustained
The victim, a man in his 30s, suffered a serious head injury. He was taken to the hospital for treatment and has since been discharged, authorities confirmed.
Suspect Charged
Thomas Conder, of Hopwood Street, Liverpool, was charged with attempted murder. He is due to appear at South Sefton Magistrates’ Court on Friday 8 May.
Further Arrests And Bail
- A 33-year-old man from Liverpool was arrested on suspicion of assisting an offender, possession with intent to supply Class A (cocaine), and possession of Class B (cannabis) drugs. He has been released on conditional bail.
- A 29-year-old Liverpool woman was re-arrested on suspicion of assisting an offender and possession with intent to supply Class A drugs. She has also been granted conditional bail.
