Man dies after Collision on A3 near Clanfield

Sadly news to report that a man has been pronounced dead after he was hit by a Car on the Northbound section of the A3M just after the Clanfield on Slip onto. The incident happened on Sunday evening. Hampshire Police said the pedestrian was struck by a VW Polo Car just after 11.30pm on Sunday. The driver of the VW Polo was treated at the scene for shock and was taken to hospital by ambulance. The 35-year-old man who had been walking on the unlit carriage way suffered serious head injuries and was pronounced dead at the scene by paramedics. https:///youtu.be/OfsRm-fX_tw The Northbound A3 was closed between Horndean and Clanfield while investigations were carried out.
