Kent police have dealt a serious blow to county line drug dealers in a week-long crackdown. Between 2 and 8 March 2026, officers arrested 47 suspects and confiscated over £100,000 in cash.

28 Deadly Weapons Taken Off Streets

The haul didn’t stop at cash and drugs. Police recovered 28 weapons, including machetes, samurai swords, crossbows, and knives. Out of those arrested, 23 have been charged with 63 offences.

Countless Drugs and Stolen Goods Found in Raids

  • 40 properties were raided across the county.
  • 29 drug seizures included heroin, crack cocaine, GHB, ketamine, steroids, and methamphetamine.

County lines gangs exploit vulnerable people to traffic drugs in urban hubs, but law enforcement is cracking down hard.

Key Arrests and Shocking Finds

  • Maidstone raids (2 March): Two men were arrested after police seized a pure gold bar, large sums of cash, cannabis hidden in ‘frosted apple’ bags, and drug paraphernalia. Cecil Samba, 30, and Emmanuel Denteh, 31, face multiple drug charges. Both remain in custody awaiting court.
  • Herne Bay warrant (5 March): Officers found cash, mobile phones, Class A and B drugs, and digital scales. Damien Davies, 46, was charged with possession and intent to supply cocaine, heroin, and cannabis, plus acquiring criminal property. Still in custody.
  • Sittingbourne farm raid (6 March): Police uncovered cocaine, mobile phones, a Katana sword, drug cutting equipment, and a stash of stolen caravans, car parts, and a generator. Barry Daynes, 37, and Albert Scamp, 39, face weapon and drug charges. Both have been bailed awaiting court appearances. Investigations continue.

“Those involved often target vulnerable people within our community,” said Detective Inspector Andy Leventis. “They bring misery and criminality to the streets of Kent and we want to make sure they know they are not welcome.”

“We won’t hesitate to shut down these networks. If you suspect drug dealing near you or exploitation of someone you know, report it at www.kent.police.uk/report.”
