Kent Police have cracked down on nuisance riding in Swanley after an off-road motorbike caused havoc in the town. The bike was confiscated following reports of antisocial behaviour and damage to a local skatepark.
Chase Ends With Bike Snatched
At 11:58am on Tuesday, 17 February 2026, officers rushed to New Barn Road after complaints of disruptive riding. The reckless rider ignored police orders to stop and sped away. However, thanks to fast enquiries, the bike was traced to an address on Conifer Way and seized.
19-Year-Old Questioned Over Multiple Offences
A local 19-year-old man later turned himself in at Swanley police station and was interviewed under caution for several offences linked to the incident.
Community Safety Unit Vows to Tackle Nuisance Riders
“We’d received reports from the local community about antisocial riding across the town and we know how much of an impact this behaviour can have,” said Inspector Daniel Hinrich from Swanley’s Community Safety Unit.
“Officers are keen to crack down on nuisance vehicles. We regularly work with residents and business owners to gather information that allows effective and timely enforcement.”
