A notorious gang pushing deadly ‘super heroin’ mixed with fentanyl across Nottinghamshire streets has been slammed with nearly 90 years behind bars combined. A painstaking two-year probe finally cracked the ring wide open.
Prison Bosses Ran Drugs Network from Cells
Key players Shaun Lau and Daniel Yeboah, already locked up for drug offences, tried running their empire using illegally smuggled mobile phones inside prison. Their greed knew no bounds as they flooded Nottingham city and county with a lethal cocktail of heroin and fentanyl – known to cause fatal overdoses.
Working closely with them was 38-year-old Sherwood local Hayley Price, who coordinated drug pickups and distribution. She even dragged her own mother and daughter into the murky business.
Drug Drone Crash Brings Operation Down
The drug ring’s fortunes took a nosedive in August 2023 when a drone packed with narcotics crashed into a tree outside HMP Parc in South Wales. The delivery was meant for inmate Shaun Lau to spread drugs inside the prison walls.
Hayley Price and her 20-year-old daughter Kaci-leigh Stones were caught trying to retrieve the drone with a torch, sparking police suspicion. A search of their car found over 1.1kg of cannabis, phones, SIM cards, and drone parts.
Further raids uncovered cocaine, cannabis, MDMA, heroin, deal bags, and scales at Price’s Sherwood home.

Investigation Exposes Multi-Thousand Pound Operation
Mobile phone data revealed a sprawling drug empire with an estimated value in the hundreds of thousands. Hayley Price bragged about raking in £29,000 in just one month from Lau while he was still inside, funding more cocaine imports.
The gang used stash houses in Bingham and other locations across Nottinghamshire to store and move drugs ranging from crack cocaine to synthetic Class B substances.
This crushing blow to crime in Nottinghamshire sends a clear message: the city’s streets are no place for deadly ‘super heroin’ dealers.
