The mystery deepens as North Yorkshire Police launch a fresh appeal to find missing soldier Ryan Rudd. It’s been a month since the 28-year-old failed to return to his barracks after a night out in Selby.

Last Seen in Early Hours of February 15

Ryan was partying with friends in the town centre before disappearing in the early hours of Sunday, 15 February 2026. He was reported missing over two weeks later, on 1 March. The last confirmed sighting was at 2:54am walking past the Old Flour Factory towards New Millgate.

Ryan is described as white, 5ft 8in tall, slim build with dark brown hair. At the time he wore a black T-shirt, blue hoodie, and black trousers.

Full-Scale Search Underway

Police have left no stone unturned. Teams have scoured CCTV footage, gone door-to-door, and deployed specialist squads. Drones and marine units have combed difficult terrain and waterways, including the River Ouse.

Inspector Ciaran Conlon warned: “We must accept the possibility that Ryan has entered the River Ouse.” He urged anyone with info to call 101 immediately and report urgent sightings to 999.

Heartbroken Family Pleads for Help

Ryan’s parents, Kerstin and Ken, released a new photo and said: “As a family, we are devastated and struggling to put into words how we feel. We would ask anyone who has even the smallest piece of information that could help bring Ryan home to please contact the police. We are desperate to have him back.”

The community and authorities remain hopeful, but time is running out. Can you help bring Ryan home?
