Police appeal following fatal collision on the A24 near Beare Green

Police are appealing for witnesses following a fatal collision on the A24 near Beare Green. The road is currently closed in both directions following the collision on the northbound which involved two vehicles, and happened at 6.56pm. The driver of a mini, a man in his 30s died following a collision with a Mercedes. His next of kin have been made aware. The driver of the Mercedes, a man in his 20s, suffered minor injuries. The road is likely to be closed until midnight while officers carry out their investigation and motorists are advised to find alternative routes.
