Police Appeal For Public’s Assistance In Identifying Assailant Of Elderly Woman In Ladbroke Grove

Police are seeking the public’s help in identifying a man following a distressing incident in Ladbroke Grove, London. An 83-year-old woman was assaulted on July 21, at approximately 11:00, as she boarded the 312 bus on Canal Way, W10. The unidentified man allegedly approached the elderly woman and forcibly pushed her, resulting in a broken pelvis. The victim has since been discharged from the hospital.

Following the unprovoked attack, law enforcement authorities launched an investigation that included reviewing CCTV footage and speaking with witnesses. Detective Inspector Julie Trodden, the lead investigator on the case, expressed her concern regarding the incident, stating, “This was an unprovoked attack on an elderly woman, which I’m sure will cause concern among the local community and beyond.”

Detective Inspector Trodden continued, “We have carried out a number of enquiries in order to trace the perpetrator and are now appealing for the public to help us. While we know the image is not of great quality, we are hoping that releasing this may serve as a reminder for anyone who might have seen anything at the time of the incident.”

Law enforcement officials have released an image of the man they are seeking to identify in connection with the assault. Despite the image’s limited quality, authorities believe it may trigger the memory of individuals who were present in the area during the incident.

The police are urging anyone who recognises the individual in the image or has any information related to this incident to come forward. Information can be shared by calling 101 or by contacting @MetCC on social media, quoting reference number 5590/18SEP23.
