Police hunt Gang who Robbed Southsea Taxi Driver

Police  are appealing for information following a robbery in Southsea. At 3.45am on Friday, December 9 a taxi driver dropped off a fare in Warwick Crescent.  Shortly afterwards three men entered his vehicle and took his change bag and wallet. The offenders then ran off. The main offender is described as 6ft, with a pale complexion and wearing a hoody. Detective Constable David Sheppard, said: “The offenders made off with around £100.  As always I would remind taxi drivers to be aware of their vehicles’ security at all times, even when they are not carrying passengers. “I would like to hear from anyone who witnessed this incident or may know who was involved.” Anyone who may have information is asked to contact Hampshire on 101
