Police Launch Murder Probe in Blandford after woman found Dead

Blandford,Dorset  Friday 8th January 2016 A murder investigation has been launched after a woman’s body was found in Blandford. Officers were initially called to reports of a serious assault at Jocks Barbers Shop  on East Street in the town  Police officers  called  Paramedics to the scene.  One shocked resident  who lives in the  road said “ That  a  few Police cars turned up  and there where also armed Police telling  people to stay in doors. Police have  confirmed that a woman was pronounced dead at the scene Her next of kin have not yet been informed.  Her Majesty’s the  Coroner has been notified of the murder and is currently assisting police with their enquiries.  Police  have  cordoned off the  Barbers Shops  Blue tape came be seen attached to a  number of scene of crime vehicles. The circumstances surrounding the woman’s death are suspicious and a murder investigation, led by Dorset Police’s Major Crime Investigation Team, has been launched. Detective Inspector Mark Samuel, of the Major Crime Investigation Team, said: “Following the discovery of a woman’s body, enquiries are now underway to establish exactly what happened this evening. ©UKNIP
