Police Launched Invesigation after attempted Child Snatch from outside ALDI in Portsmouth

Police this evening have confirmed that they have launched an investigation following a complaint from the mother of . child who was involved incident. It is understood that Police have reviewed CCTV in the store and taken statement those involved and staff at the store  in a statement released to UK News in Pictures Police said :

We were called at 1.30pm today (Monday 17 July) to a report of a suspicious incident that occurred outside Aldi on Gamble Road at about 12.25pm. A mother reported that whilst she and her 1 year old daughter were getting a trolley, a woman approached them and spoke to her daughter and seemed to try and beckon her. The mother challenged her and the woman left, getting into a nearby silver car which then drove off. The woman was described as Pakistani, aged in her 40s, fat or round build wearing a nose ring and a dark blue sari and head dress. Officers later spoke with the mother and enquiries are ongoing to ascertain exactly what happened. Anyone with information is asked to call 101 and quote 44170274896.
