It’s not just crooks who get visits from the coppers—sometimes, it’s pets in a pickle.
Dog Found Roaming Chatteris Streets
Cambridgeshire police were scrambled after reports of a dog running loose in #Chatteris. Officers quickly raced to the scene to make sure the four-legged wanderer was safe.
Collarless Canine Reunited with Worried Owner
When cops arrived, they met a gentle, friendly pooch with no collar and no owner in sight. The officers called the dog warden for a microchip check.
Shortly after, they heard the pup’s owner was frantically searching nearby.
“We’re pleased to say they’ve now been happily reunited – it seems he simply found a way out of the garden and went on his own little adventure 🐾,” said the force.
Dog Owners Warned to Keep Pets Safe
The police used the heartwarming tale to remind pet owners to check their garden fences and to ensure their pets wear ID collars and have microchips.
This helps officers reunite you quickly if your furry friend goes walkabout.
