Royal Tunbridge Wells Street on lockdown following Stabbing

Tunbridge Wells, Street remains on lockdown with officers guarding each end of the cordon after a serious stabbing. Shocked neighbours described seeing and hearing the air ambulance land in a nearby Temple Grove Academy just before 12pm. Officers can still be seen along with paramedics from South East Coast. Police have closed the road in Tunbridge Wells, Sherwood Road. Road is currently closed in both directions between Greggs Wood Road and Conneyburrow Road due to a Police incident. [su_youtube url=”https:///youtu.be/Fqp_EpIgkwg”] Kent police have said : Detectives from the Kent and Essex Serious Crime Directorate have launched a murder investigation following the death of a man in Tunbridge Wells. Kent Police was called at 10.42am on Tuesday 17 July 2018 to an address in Sherwood Road. Officers and South East Coast Ambulance Service attended and a man who sustained injuries died at the scene. A knife has been recovered by officers and a local man has been arrested on suspicion of murder and is currently in police custody. Police are continuing to establish the circumstances of the incident and it is believed the victim and the suspect were known to each other. The victim’s next of kin have been made aware.
