Rush Hour Chaos in the Making as two Lanes Closed on the M25 near Cobham

Two lanes of the busiest part of the M25 are closed this afternoon following a collision involving an oversea lorry and car. The car has been side swiped and is blocking two lanes of the M25. Officers from Highways England have put in a closure and the overhead matrix sign have been set at 40 miles an hour past the scene of the collision. The closure is between Junctions 9 and Junction Ten on the clockwise side of M25. Traffic is very slow on the approach and past the scene. Drivers are reporting speed in the area of around 20 miles and hour. A Spokesman for Highways England said “That the closure is likely to be in place whilst the vehicles are removed and recovery has taken place. This is likely to have an effect on rush hour traffic using this section of the network. The spokesman went on to say that it was important that drivers followed the overhead warning signs and not continue to drive in the red X marked lanes. https:///www.youtube.com/watch?v=w6drOlUitdA
