Second confirmed death of Prison Staff Member at Pentonville Prison from COVID19

A second staff member  who has been named  as Patrick Beckford  has had  their life taken by COVID19. The support staff member is understood to have died after catching COVID19 the virus whilst working at HM Prison Pentonville. POA national chairman Mark Fairhurst, who did not know if  Mr Beckford had any underlying health conditions, said: “He was an experienced member of staff, of operational support grade working at HMP Pentonville, and he died earlier this week due to Covid-19 symptoms.”
