Police in Lancing are appealing for witnesses to an unprovoked assault on a teenage boy, which occurred on Saturday, April 29th. The incident took place around 7:20 pm as the victim was walking through Monks Recreation Ground when he was approached and attacked by a group of girls near the basketball court.
The girls were believed to be aged between 13 to 15 years old, and one of them was wearing a green top, black jacket, and black tracksuit bottoms. The victim was taken to the hospital for treatment but fortunately, did not suffer any serious injuries.
Officers investigating the incident are asking anyone who saw the group of girls in the area around that time to come forward. They are also urging anyone with relevant footage or information to contact the police either online or by calling 101, quoting serial number 1279 of 29/04.
