Disaster struck near Garthorpe, Lincolnshire, yesterday evening when a white Audi TT smashed into a tree, killing three and leaving two children fighting for their lives.

Fatal Crash on Shore Road

At around 5.45pm on Saturday, 28 March, the Audi was heading south along Shore Road between Garthorpe and Meredyke Road. For reasons still unknown, the car veered off the road and hit a tree.

Casualties and Injuries

  • The driver, a 44-year-old man, died at the scene.
  • The front passenger, a 48-year-old man, also died on the spot.
  • A 13-year-old girl, seated in the rear, was pronounced dead at the scene.
  • A nine-year-old boy and a 15-year-old girl were rushed to the hospital with serious injuries.

The 15-year-old girl remains in critical condition with life-threatening injuries. Families of the deceased have been informed and are receiving support from specially trained officers.

Police Appeal for Witnesses
