Officers from West Sussex Police are attending area of Budgens, Perrymount Road, Haywards Heath.
Police were called following a number of reports from public that some sort of tremor under the ground, involving pavement damage and manhole cover coming off.
West Sussex Fire and rescue are also supporting officers as are the utility companies
