Tube strikes are poised to cause significant disruptions to everyday travel in London over the next few days as workers from the Rail, Maritime and Transport Union (RMT) and Aslef Union prepare to take industrial action.
Transport for London (TfL) has advised commuters to plan ahead and brace themselves for busy services during the strike period. Thousands of London Underground workers are expected to participate in the strikes, affecting several tube lines across the city.
To help commuters avoid inconvenience, here is a list of the tube lines set to be impacted by the upcoming strikes:
The strike dates for July 2023 are as follows:
RMT Union members are scheduled to strike from Sunday, July 23, to Friday, July 28. On the other hand, Aslef train drivers will take action on Wednesday, July 26, and Friday, July 28.
Notably, the Elizabeth Line, also known as the Crossrail project, is not expected to be affected by the Tube strikes. However, there may be station closures at locations where stations serve both the Elizabeth Line and London Underground lines.
Londoners are advised to stay updated on alternative transportation options and allow extra time for their journeys during the strike period. TfL will continue to provide updates and information to assist commuters in navigating the disruptions caused by the strikes.
