Shocking Assault at St James’s Street
A vulnerable man in his 30s with cerebral palsy was violently knocked to the ground and robbed at a Brighton cashpoint. The attack happened on the evening of 27 October 2025 at St James’s Street.
Woman Steals Bank Card, Goes on Shopping Spree
Aji Sinera, 30, homeless and with no fixed address, approached the man and asked for money. When he refused, she assaulted him, wrestled his wallet, then fled with his bank card.
Sinera used the stolen card to buy takeaway food and attempted multiple fraudulent transactions at nearby shops.
Quick Justice at Lewes Crown Court
Sinera pleaded guilty to robbery and three counts of fraud by false representation. On 19 March, Lewes Crown Court sentenced her to 18 months in prison – but the sentence was suspended for two years.
