This World Milk Day, Brighton witnessed a powerful demonstration that challenged conventional views on dairy consumption. A collaboration between charity, and activism. wtf, and speciesism. wtf took over the city with a clear and compelling message: “Milk is NOT Human(e).”
The event highlighted the plight of speciesism. wtf says “There are approximately 270 million cows enslaved in the dairy industry worldwide. Cows are forcibly inseminated and impregnated, have their babies stolen from them at birth, their sons slaughtered as they are not profitable to big dairy, and ultimately once they have been exhausted from the constant cycle of exploitation, at just about 1/3 of their natural lifespan, they are sold cheaply and sent to slaughter for their body parts, too.”
