PC Abigail Palmer was accused of having been dishonest when recording her working hours, claiming to have worked from home but not carrying out any work.
A hearing, led by Independent Legally Qualified Chair Stephen Gowland began at Chelmsford Civic Centre on Wednesday, 8 February and concluded on Monday, 13 February.
A panel found the allegation not to be proven based on the evidence presented no further action will be taken.
Assistant Chief Constable Rachel Nolan said “Essex Police expects the highest professional standards from its officers and staff and where an individual is accused of falling below those standards it is only right that matters are considered by an independent panel.
“This was a serious accusation and was rightly investigated and put before a panel.
“Evidence was presented to the panel and they found the allegations were not proven on the balance of probabilities.
“We continue to support colleagues throughout any investigation and will ensure PC Palmer continues to receive that support at the conclusion of this process.”
