The incident occurred on Wednesday, January 25, 2023, between 3 p.m. and 3.30 p.m. in Osbourne Road, Willesborough.
A man, a woman, and two children were riding bicycles when the man was approached and assaulted by a group of people on mopeds and a quadbike. During the incident, the victim’s cellphone was stolen, and his bicycle was also damaged.
The offenders were then seen fleeing in the direction of Hunter Avenue.
This robbery took place on a busy road at a time of day when parents would have been collecting their children from school,’ said investigating officer Detective Constable Sophia Lateu. Anyone who witnessed the incident or has dashcam footage from the time of the robbery is encouraged to contact us.’
