Sky and Peacock, in a groundbreaking collaboration, have announced that legendary artist Barbra Streisand has recorded an original song for their upcoming series, The Tattooist of Auschwitz. The track, titled “Love Will Survive,” will serve as the end title for the gripping limited series.

A Historic First
Barbra Streisand, the iconic Emmy, Grammy, Oscar®, and Tony Award-winning performer, has lent her incomparable voice to a television project for the first time. Fans worldwide can look forward to the release of “Love Will Survive” on April 25th, just ahead of the series’ global premiere on May 2nd.
The Creative Team
“Love Will Survive” is a collaboration between two-time Oscar®-winner Hans Zimmer, Emmy nominee Kara Talve (a member of the Bleeding Fingers Music composer collective), and Grammy-winner Walter Afanasieff. The poignant lyrics are penned by Grammy and Golden Globe nominee Charlie Midnight.
Zimmer and Talve, known for their exceptional musical compositions, have also crafted the original score for The Tattooist of Auschwitz. The six-part series features an ensemble cast led by acclaimed actors Harvey Keitel, Melanie Lynskey, Jonah Hauer-King, Anna Próchniak, and Jonas Nay.
A Symphony of Emotions
Streisand’s illustrious career spans over six decades, marked by timeless hits like “Evergreen,” “The Way We Were,” and “Woman in Love.” For “Love Will Survive,” she collaborates with the world-class London Symphony Orchestra, conducted by the esteemed William Ross.
The song’s production is in capable hands, with multiple Grammy winners Walter Afanasieff and Peter Asher at the helm. Their expertise ensures that “Love Will Survive” resonates with audiences worldwide.
A Message of Resilience
Barbra Streisand shares her motivation for this powerful song: “In light of the rise in antisemitism across the globe, I wanted to sing ‘Love Will Survive’ within the context of this series. It serves as a tribute to the six million souls lost less than 80 years ago. Even in the darkest times, love’s enduring power can triumph.”
The Tattooist’s Tale
The Tattooist of Auschwitz chronicles the harrowing journey of Lali (portrayed by Jonah Hauer-King), a Slovakian Jew deported to Auschwitz in 1942. Within the confines of the concentration camp, where over a million Jews perished during the Holocaust, Lali’s story unfolds—a testament to resilience, love, and survival.
Barbra Streisand, along with executive producers Jay Landers and Russell Emanuel, invites viewers to experience this moving series and embrace the indomitable spirit that echoes through history.
