Since 2006, Brighton has joined the global World Naked Bike Ride movement, with the exception of 2020 due to the Covid-19 pandemic. This year’s event continued its tradition of promoting body positivity, environmental awareness, and the importance of cycling as a sustainable mode of transport.

Brighton’s ride was part of a series of UK and worldwide events taking place around the same time, including a ride in nearby London the day before. This scheduling allowed dedicated participants to join multiple rides, amplifying the message of the World Naked Bike Ride movement.

Organisers reported participation numbers in the hundreds, reminiscent of previous peak years. The ride culminated with a dip in the sea and a beachfront after-party, offering a perfect blend of activism and celebration.

Residents and visitors came out to support the riders, enjoying the unique atmosphere and important messages promoted by the event.
