A man has been charged over the shocking stabbing of a 12-year-old boy in Timperley on Friday, 21 November 2025.
Details of the Attack
Adithya Ramamoorthy, a British Asian-Indian from Vale Road, Timperley, faces charges of section 18 assault and carrying an offensive weapon in a public place. The incident happened around 6.30pm on Stockport Road near Vale Road.
The young boy was walking with three friends, all aged 12, when he was stabbed with what is believed to be a long tool or screwdriver. He suffered puncture wounds to his side and back and was rushed to Royal Manchester Children’s Hospital for treatment.
Upcoming Court Appearance
Ramamoorthy is due to appear at Manchester and Salford Magistrates Court on Thursday, 27 November 2025. Police continue to investigate the disturbing attack.
