Van Reverses Into Motorcyclist in Fareham – Police Seek Witnesses

Police are hunting for witnesses after a motorcycle rider suffered a minor head injury when a van reversed into him in Fareham.

Crash Details

The incident happened around 10:35pm on Sunday, May 22, on Gosport Road, just south of the Saltern Lane traffic lights.

An 18-year-old motorcyclist was riding when a red van – about the size of a VW Transporter – reversed out of a driveway into the road. The sudden move caused the rider to fall off his bike onto the pavement.

Injuries and Investigation

The rider was rushed to Queen Alexandra Hospital with a minor head injury.

Police have questioned the van driver but want to hear from anyone who saw what happened.
