More arrests after further Drug raids in Portsmouth

Police have made two arrests today in connection with an investigation into drug-related activity in Portsmouth. Officers from the Charles Dickens Neighbourhood Policing Team (NPT) carried out a warrant at an address in Northam Street, Landport, this morning. A 50- year-old man and a 20-year-old man, both from Portsmouth, were arrested on suspicion of being concerned in the supply of Class B drugs. They have been released from custody but remain under investigation. Inspector Ryan has said, “Today’s arrests are part of our ongoing work to tackle drug-related activity in Portsmouth. “These drugs are known to cause real harm, both to those who use them and to the wider community in terms of anti-social behaviour and associated criminality. “I’d like to reassure the community that we are determined to do all we can to disrupt this type of activity and to keep our communities safe. “If you witness drug-dealing or are concerned about drug-related activity in your area, please call 101, or if a crime is in progress call 999.” If you have any information relating to this case, please call 101 quoting reference 441 7035 2404, or contact the Crimestoppers charity anonymously .
