Breaking: Search in Dorset finds missing Kevin Norminton

Coastguard rescue teams from West Bay and Lyme Regis and a Coastguard rescue helicopter have assisted Dorset Police today in a search for a missing person in the West Bay area. At 7pm, HM Coastguard confirmed that the coastal search had ended and a casualty was recovered at Thorncombe Beacon. Dorset Police said :Officers searching for missing man Kevin Norminton in the West Bay area have discovered a body. The discovery was made at around 6pm today, Thursday 10 May 2018, by specialist search teams below cliffs near to Thorncombe Beacon. Kevin, aged 43 and of Crewkerne in Somerset, was last seen on the morning of Tuesday 8 May 2018 when he left his home address. Chief Inspector Rob Chalkley, of Dorset Police, said: “Although the body has yet to be formally identified, we believe it to be that of Kevin. “His family have been updated of the discovery and are being supported by officers at this extremely difficult time. “We do not believe there are any suspicious circumstances surrounding the death.”
