First Picture of woman murdered in frenzied stabbing attack in Waltham Forest
The woman at the centre of murder investigation has been named by detectives leading the investigation. Enquiries were launched after a woman, who was found with multiple stab injuries at an address in Leyton on Tuesday, 25 February, died at the scene. Officers and London Ambulance Service colleagues attended the address on Magnolia Close, E10 but despite their best efforts were unable to save her life. While formal identification is yet to take place, officers are satisfied that the woman is 35-year-old Li Qing Wang, of Leyton. A man, aged 54, who was also inside the property, was arrested on suspicion of murder and remains in police custody. A post-mortem examination will take place this week. Homicide detectives from the Met’s Specialist Crime Command are investigating. They are led by Detective Chief Inspector Paul Considine, who has made an appeal to Mrs Wang’s family and friends and members of the local community to come forward with information. DCI Considine, said: “To understand why this tragic incident occurred I would urge anyone that knew the victim well and had insight into her domestic situation to contact my team. “At this time we are not looking for any further suspects, and are working hard to piece the evidence together – I believe Mrs Wang’s friends can help us achieve that. “For those who would like to speak to us but whose first language is not English, we will arrange an interpreter.
