Motorcyclist Seriously Injured in Erdington Crash

Collision Near McDonald’s Sparks Emergency Response

A motorcyclist suffered serious injuries after crashing into a car on Chester Road, Erdington, last night.

West Midlands Ambulance Service rushed to the scene around 10pm, responding to multiple 999 calls reporting the smash near the McDonald’s. Two ambulances, a paramedic officer, and a MERIT trauma doctor were dispatched immediately.

Heroic Bystanders Help Before Ambulance Arrival

“The motorcyclist, a man, was in a serious condition upon the arrival of ambulance staff and was being cared for by members of the public who had stopped to assist,” said a West Midlands Ambulance Service spokeswoman.

He was swiftly assessed and found to have serious injuries. Paramedics stabilised him at the scene before rushing him by blue lights to Queen Elizabeth Hospital Birmingham, with the trauma doctor continuing treatment en route.

Car Driver Unharmed

The driver of the car was checked over at the scene but did not need hospital treatment.
