A 44-year-old man died in the early hours after being struck by a car in a hit-and-run in Birmingham, West Midlands. Shaun Harron was fatally hit just after 12:30am at the junction of Romsley Road and Adams Hill in Bartley Green. West Midlands Police and paramedics responded, but despite treatment, Shaun was later pronounced dead at the hospital.
Hit-and-run Details
The victim was hit by a brown Vauxhall Astra with the registration LV63 WHN. The driver failed to stop and fled the scene, heading towards Jiggins Lane. Police are now urgently investigating and appealing for witnesses.
CCTV and Witness Appeals
Officers from the Serious Collision Investigation Unit are reviewing CCTV footage and conducting door-to-door inquiries. Sgt Rich Evans urged anyone with information or dashcam footage from the area around the time to come forward immediately.

“Tragically Shaun Harron has lost his life after being struck by a car which did not then stop. Our thoughts are with his loved ones at this terrible time,” said Sgt Evans. “We believe the vehicle will have damage and ask anyone who can help to get in touch.”
